BWChaT is a lightweight chat script that does not require a database. There is no config required, Simply follow install details in the README, and you will be chatting within a minute. It is light on features but functional. V1.1 is very lightweight, only 143 bytes per meta refresh when no new message has been posted. V1.2 has audiable alert of new messages. V1.3 has selectable colour and smileys. (7 included) V1.3 messages are larger due to smileys, and includes details of apache web server config to minimise server resources. V1.4 adds an online list - names of people who have posted a mesage within the last 10 minutes.
